Reasons and arguments in the Clementina
This article was presented at the "deuxième colloque international sur la litterature apocryphe chrétienne", Lausanne-Geneve, 30 août-2 september 2006.
A népek angyalai, avagy lehetséges-e nemzeti kereszténység?
The Angels of the Nations : Is National Christianity Possible? The article calls attention to the theological problems involved in the practice of the Hungarian church to sing Kölcsey's Himnusz (National Anthem) and Vörosmarty's Szozat (another national song) at the end of the liturgy on nearly every Sunday. The theological implications of these unsanctioned liturgical appendices, is shown to be at loggerheads with the role of the nations, and nationhood in general, as conceived by the New Testament and the early Church Fathers. Based on the works of Erik Peterson, Yves Congar and Joseph Ratzinger, and relying primarily on the theology of Origen and the Pastor of Hermas, the article examines first the birth of paganism at Babel, then the role of the national angels in the emergence of idolatry, finally the role of the Church as the "third race" uniting once again mankind under the name of Christ, showing Pentecost to be the reverse of Babel.

A Szentháromságról
On the TrinityThe Trinitarian formula of the Nicean Council represented a minority opinion against three great odds: Firstly, against the all-important monarchic formula of the Old Testament, secondly, the monarchic doctrine of the Greek philosophy, and thirdly, the monarchic requirement of the imperial political theology of Constantine. The unique nature of the victorious Trinitarian theology is clearly f ormulated in the second chapter of the Third Theological Oration of St. Gregory of Nazianzus, a passage which played a crucial role for E. Peterson in his debate against the political theology of Carl Schmitt.

Amit Anzelm és Gaunilo mondtak egymásnak
What Anselm and Gaunilo said to each otherIn this paper the author proposes a new formal reconstruction of the debate of St. Anselm of Canterbury and Gaunilo of Marmutier on the Proslogion argument for the existence of God. The reconstruction is purely extensional (in second order predicate logic with identity) and proves both that the argument is conclusive, and that at the same time, precisely because it is valid, it leads to an infinite metalogical cycle.

Arisztotelész és Dedekind
Aristotle and Dedekind on continuityThe paper tries to call attention to a methodologically interesting parallelism and a philosophically significant difference between R. Dedekind's proof (1872) that there is one and only one real number that produces a "cut" in the body of real numbers and Aristotle's argument for there being one and only one indivisible instant separating the past from the future (Phys. 6.3.233b33-234a20). The paper consists of two parts. The first contains a comparison of the two proofs, the second follows the fate of Aristotle's proof in the hands of the commentators.
