Dr Andrei V. Belyi will speak about complex trends of state-market interrelations. In his lecture, he addresses both global trends (i.e. the Washington consensus vs. resource nationalism, the role of transnational markets vs public policies) and regional specificities. Among others, Dr Belyi will introduce a recently published edited volume on the subject.

Andrei V. Belyi is a Senior Researcher at the University of Tartu (Estonia), the Centre for EU Russia Studies (CEURUS) since August 2012 and he is also affiliated to the Energy LLM programme at the University of Eastern Finland. He used to work at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow (Russia), where he was based from 2007 to 2012. He is also a global faculty member of the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy of the University of Dundee, UK.
